Records (1904-1988) of an organization formed to encourage interest in flower cultivation through exhibits, lectures, and publications. The Minnesota Garden Flower Society was organized in June, 1904, as the Minnesota Rose Society, and was affiliated with the Minnesota Horticultural Society. In 1907 the name was changed to the Minnesota State Rose Society and, in 1911, to the Minnesota Garden Flower Society. At that time the society ended its affiliation with the Minnesota Horticultural Society. Because of declining membership, the Garden Flower Society was disbanded in 1988.
